What We Do

At Diversity Housing Charity, we support people living with severe and enduring mental health illnesses, learning disabilities, and others who are vulnerable or at risk. Our goal is to help individuals lead more independent, fulfilling, and empowered lives, with dignity and support tailored to their specific needs. We meet each person with compassion, patience, and respect – supporting them to take steps forward, no matter how small, at a pace that’s right for them.

Our Core Services

  • Supported Housing: We provide safe, stable accommodation with individualised support to help people manage daily life, maintain tenancies, and build long-term independence.
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing Support: We work closely with individuals and mental health professionals to ensure each person receives the emotional support, structure, and care they need to thrive.
  • Life Skills and Independence Training: We support people in developing practical everyday skills, such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and personal care – so they can live more confidently and independently.
  • Advocacy and Guidance: We help individuals understand their rights, access essential services, attend appointments, and speak up for themselves.
  • Social Inclusion and Community Engagement: We run activities, workshops, and outings to combat loneliness, build confidence, and encourage positive social interaction.
  • Education and Personal Development: We support individuals in accessing learning, training, and volunteering opportunities to build skills, self-worth, and future prospects.
